What is Available From March 2012
1) Weed Control on the Common 10th April. Controlling weeds by hand in sensitive areas of significant importance on the common around ponds and where the wildflowers are particularly diverse.
Where and When
10.15 – 3. Meet by the pond on the Northern side of Spoil Coppice, ST751884.
Who
Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary as all tools and training will be supplied by the Avon Wildlife Trust. Please wear strong footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing. Tea coffee and biscuits will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch and any other refreshments you would like.
2) Monitoring and Recording Day 26th June. Spend the morning brushing up on plant identification and the afternoon monitoring plant regrowth following the winters scrub clearance work. Recording re-growth species in areas cleared during the scrub management during year 1.
