Assley, Hareley, Hawkesbury and Inglestone Commons are regulated under the Commons Act 1899.

The Commons Act 1899 enabled District Councils and National Park authorities to manage commons under a Scheme of Management. The Scheme of Management for Assley, Hareley, Hawkesbury and Inglestone Commons is dated 1925, and can be downloaded by clicking the link below.

The Scheme of Management provides for the protection and improvement of the Commons, the maintenance of public access and for the Council to make byelaws in order to regulate activities on the Commons.
